Before setting foot into Inferus, Kairi was on her way back home to Destiny Islands. Sora had just beaten Xemnas (or so they thought), leader of Organization XIII, and they, including Riku, King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy were ready to go home. Just as Kairi stepped into the portal summoned by her Nobody, Naminé, she was transported here instead. Inferus, a place run by Gods. Soon, she discovered that some of the people she met before (Roxas and Olette) don't remember her at all. The Gods... they have the power to take and bring people here from other time dimensions. It's as if they never met before.
